About the event
This type of practice allows us to get in touch with our body rather than stay stuck in our brain. Being in tune with the body and using it well to make musical taiko is how we start to move on from being a beginner. For me this happened 5 years into my taiko life, when the focus for me shifted to how to effectively use my whole body to play. I found guidance from many great teachers, in different styles, all informing each other. In Tawoo style, there is a big emphasis on using the body, and I would like to share what I have learnt about it with others. Led by Yasmin Friedmann.
