The Sum of All Parts (£30)
We are going to use some fun and tricky rhythmic combinations from the song Steampunk’d to explore how we can deepen our understanding of the different parts in our taiko repertoire!

Time & Location
29 Apr 2023, 15:15 – 17:45
Aberfoyle Memorial Hall, Trossachs Rd, Aberfoyle, Stirling FK8 3SW, UK
About the event
Playing kumi-daiko is all about teamwork. Like the parts of a machine, each player has a part that contributes to the whole piece and often plays a supporting role to the other parts. In this workshop, we will be exploring techniques we can use to improve our understanding of the rhythms we play, as well as how our part functions with the other rhythms. We will then be applying these ideas to parts of the song Steampunk’d (a song I wrote specifically for this purpose), and build the ultimate taiko machine together!
