About the event
Workshop Level - Beginner to Advanced (but not complete beginners)
Participants of this workshop will get the opportunity to learn elements of 'Lunacy'. ‘Lunacy’ was written during England’s first lockdown as a reflection of how crazy those isolating times were. The piece contains some funky rhythms but also some tricky parts (intentionally) to drive those that play it a little bit crazy!
It will be a full-on, but fun workshop with take-aways for the participants. Lucy will also lead some fun warm up drills to begin with before the craziness starts! Participants will learn A, B, C & D from the piece and Lucy can provide resources after the workshop for anyone who took part that may want to practice more.
This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners to taiko, but Lucy will ensure there are always different levels to the drills to make them as accessible as possible. Ultimately you just need to be able to count to 5!
